§ 12-7. Collection schedule.

(a)

Garbage and refuse will be collected by the city according to a collection schedule maintained in the clerk's office. Such schedule may be periodically revised and amended by action of the board of commissioners. Each residence shall be authorized to dispose of no more than two (2) regulation size containers of garbage on each collection. Any excess garbage collected will be charged according to the schedule in the clerk's office.

(b)

Established businesses wishing to avail themselves of garbage and trash pickup service shall be charged a monthly rate based on the frequency of pickups requested and the amount to be picked up according to a schedule of fees maintained in the clerk's office. The number of pickups can vary from two (2) to four (4) per week, but once chosen shall remain in effect for the applicable fiscal year.

(c)

All garbage and/or rubbish shall be placed in such a manner so that the garbage truck can pull alongside for loading without having to carry the garbage or rubbish further than five (5) feet.
